Deal of the week: Game consoles reduced by UK Supermarket

UK Supermarket Morrisons have reduced the price of the Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in a bid to clear out excess stock left over from Christmas.
The offer allegedly runs for three weeks or until stock runs out which is quite likely to be far less than three weeks. The sale prices are listed below:
PS3 slim 160GB – £150
PS3 250GB with Karate Kid Blu-Ray – £200
Wii – £85
Wii Mario Kart bundle – £85
Xbox 360 4GB + Kinect £185
Xbox 360 250GB £150
Kinect £85
To avoid disappointment, it’s best to ring your local store to see if they have any consoles left in stock.

Sonic CD released on Xbox 360, PS3, iOS and Android

Earlier this year, Sega announced that they would be bringing Sonic CD to the Xbox 360, PS3 as well as mobile devices. It was speculated that Sega would release the game in time for the festive period and that has rung true.
Sega have released Sonic CD on the Xbox 360 for 400 Microsoft points and will be released on the PS3 on December 20th. The price for PS3 owners is currently unknown but, is likely to be around £3. Sonic CD was set to be released on iOS and Android in early 2012 but, Sega have gifted mobile gamers with an early release. The game is now available on the iTunes store for £1.49 or on Android for £1.29. Not only that but, for Xperia Play owners, the game has been optimized for use with the PlayStation controls.
Just Dance 3 reviewed for Xbox Kinect

We first saw Just Dance on the Nintendo Wii, which was subsequently followed by Just Dance 2, also a Nintendo Wii exclusive game. Just Dance 3 however changes all of that. For the first time ever, a Just Dance game is no longer a Wii exclusive.
Ubisoft have released Just Dance 3 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. The Wii version again makes use of the Wii remote and Kinect and PS Move make it possible on the Xbox 360 and PlayStaion 3. We will be reviewing the Xbox 360 Kinect version of the game, which I’ve been playing for the past few days.
Sega announce Sonic Generations collectors edition
Sega have announced that Sonic Generations will have a special edition and collectors edition of the game. The standard version of the game will retail for £32.99 while the special addition is available for £37.99 on Xbox 360 and £39.99 on PS3.
With the special edition, you get an exclusive Sonic theme as well as Casino Night Pinball Stage. The 360 version will also include a Super Sonic costume for your avatar.
The Collectors Edition however, features a collectible figurine which features both Classic and Modern Sonic, as well as a commemorative Gold Ring which is individually numbered.
Sega announce Sonic CD release

Most of the Sonic games have been re-released other the years on various platforms, as part of compilations or stand alone downloads. On the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the original Sonic the hedgehog is available to download, as well as Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles and the 2011 Sonic game, Sonic the hedgehog 4: Episode 1. One game that always seems to be missed from these releases has been Sonic CD. For all those who have been waiting for Sega to release Sonic CD on the PS3 or Xbox 360, there’s good news. Sega have announced that they plan to convert the Mega CD classic for release on Xbox Live, PSN, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Windows Phone 7, Android and Windows PC Digital Download. At the moment, it doesn’t look like Sega will be bringing the game to the Wii.
