On Monday we reported that EA’s SSX would have a demo released the following day for North America PS3 owners with Europeans having to wait until later in the week. The demo was also stated to arrive on Xbox 360 but, at the time it was unknown whether it would only be available to those with Gold Live accounts.
With the demo now out on Xbox Live, we can now confirm that yes, you do need to have Xbox Live Gold member status to download the demo. If you haven’t got Gold already, Microsoft have an offer on where you can get 2 months Gold for £2. Which, if you can’t wait until release day to try the game, is a really good deal, especially as 48 hour trial codes unfortunately don’t allow you to download the demo. Read more

The demo will let you play as Zoe and Mac will be unlockable through a referral program but, the details on that are yet to be released. There will be two tutorials you can play through as well as two events and skydiving. Read more

Heavy Rain won 3 awards last night. There were other winners but I am going to focus on this one as I have played it twice and currently started a third. Heavy Rain was written and directed by Quantic Dream’s chief executive, David De Gruttola.
Heavy Rain is an interactive game and you control the outcome. There are four main playable characters. This game is definitely a bite from film noir. Ethan Mars is one of the characters who is trying to find his son from a serial killer who uses extended rain storms to kill his victims.
The other three characters are: Read more
