Just Dance competition to meet Katy Perry
Ubisoft have announced that Just Dance 3 will be a sponsor of Katy Perry’s upcoming UK tour, California Dreams. To highlight the sponsorship, the “Just Dance Your Way to Katy Perry” competition has been launched. Four winners will receive VIP tickets as well as have the chance to meet Katy Perry. In order to enter, you need to video yourself dancing to Firework by Katy Perry on Just Dance 2. Firework is a downloadable track on Just Dance 2 which is free to download from the Just Dance Store – available from the main menu of the game. Alternatively if you don’t own a Nintendo Wii or the game, you can also enter by using the “Just Dance 2 Free Katy Perry DLC” clip on YouTube. The Grateful Dead Get A Videogame
I don’t know about y’all but this is the most exciting video game news I have heard in a year. You can tell I like the Grateful Dead already? Well I do, they play music like I play video games, with reckless abandonment and somehow it turns out in a positive light.
The surviving band members gave the project their blessing, but the agreement was brokered by Rhino Entertainment, the Warner Music Group subsidiary that has managed all of the band’s intellectual property since 2006.
“We can’t wait for everyone check out the fun new toys we are building,” said David Lemieux, the band’s longtime archivist, in a statement.
Activision Adds EA to $400 Million Infinity Ward Lawsuit
Activision fired a shot at its biggest rival, accusing fellow publisher Electronic Arts of “hijack[ing] Activision assets for personal greed and corporate gain.”
Activision is seeking $400 million from the three defendant parties.
Kotaku has the full text of the 39-page document, which claims that the Medal of Honor publisher “set out to destabilize, disrupt and to attempt to destroy Infinity Ward.”
I for one wished I could have sued EA back when they bought all rights to NFL games a few years back. It looks like EA might be a bully in the the video game world, hopefully no more after this lawsuit.
Tiger Woods Needs to Start Winning for Partnership to “Make Sense” in the Long Run, EA Says
Looks as if Tiger Woods may be getting the boot from EA if he continues his golf game slump. EA has prided itself of having the number one golfer on the cover of it’s games and since Tiger has now dropped to the number two golfer in the world EA may change their front man to keep that tradition alive.
Speaking with Reuters (via NBC Sports), EA CEO John Ricitiello reiterated that there’s “no threat against Tiger.” But he also noted what he referred to as their business relationship.

Sonic 4 released on Xbox 360 and PS3
After 16 years, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has been released. The game is being released in parts, so this is Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1. The game will cost 1200 points from Xbox Live Arcade. Alternatively, on the PS3 the game will cost £9.99 to download from the PlayStation Network.
On the Xbox 360 there is also a trial game which, even if you’re a huge Sonic fan, like myself, you may want to download first as 1200 points is a bit steep. The game download size is 191MBs.
