i have been following your guide which is very good and full of detail but i am having a few problems. i am on firmware 4.01m33 and i have been able to create my own icons but the problem i am having is that the shadows of the original psp xmb icons are visible behind my icons. is there any way to remove them. also i would like to know how to increase the size of the xmb to allow for larger icons. and one final question. does anyone know the offsets for 4.01 . thanks for all your help.

what do you mean? You wanna make your icons bigger just replace shadows and glows in the top_menu_icon, top_menu_plugin, system_plugin, system_plugin_fg as stated. Follow the suggestions so you have disappearing icons when using bigger and high quality icons. You can use the offsets and set the space between main icons to space them out. Check back in the original thread since I update that often.

Yes i want to make the icons bigger. but i thought i had to increase the size of the xmb to do so because the original xmb icons are 64x64 and i thought i would have to increase the size of the xmb to be able to increase the size of the icons or can i just increase the icons and then set the space between them? i will try that while i wait for your reply. thanks for your help.

You can have them a big as you want as long as it doesn't take up resources and make the icons disappear. You have hex edit the paf to set the space between these icons or they will overlap. Note if you want increase the WHOLE XMB you have to edit the page data values in the top_menu_plugin.rco and edit the stretch. This increases the size of the font as well, I believe.
