On Monday we reported that EA’s SSX would have a demo released the following day for North America PS3 owners with Europeans having to wait until later in the week. The demo was also stated to arrive on Xbox 360 but, at the time it was unknown whether it would only be available to those with Gold Live accounts.
With the demo now out on Xbox Live, we can now confirm that yes, you do need to have Xbox Live Gold member status to download the demo. If you haven’t got Gold already, Microsoft have an offer on where you can get 2 months Gold for £2. Which, if you can’t wait until release day to try the game, is a really good deal, especially as 48 hour trial codes unfortunately don’t allow you to download the demo.
The demo has now also been released in Europe for PS3 owners. The demo became available this afternoon for those in the UK and is a 1329MB download. You don’t need to be a PlayStation Plus to download the demo either.
